Beware the Ides of March

[edit] Placard suggestions
- Taken from entubulation.org forums, these should make people ask questions
- How did L. Ron Hubbard die?
- What is Fair Game?
- How do I anger seasoned Amnesty International prize winning journalist, John Sweeney?
- Why does it cost money to learn about Jesus? (Scientology's official face)
- Why can Scientology claim tax exemption but your church cannot?
- Why did Germany ban Scientology?
- Why did Germany ban Tom Cruise from filming in a German military base?
- How much does Salvation cost? Ask Scientology for a quotation
- Freedom of religion - A right / Freedom to oppress - A crime
- These should answer questions
- He was not there at the beginning of the interview!
- Protesting is NOT a terrorist act!
- Scientologists - Good / Co$ - BAD
- Freedom of Speech means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear!

[edit] Universities
- We should get some viral marketing going on within the unis - "Beware the Ides of March" sort of stuff. Simple messages pinned around the place to drum up support.
- We should also try and talk to the SUs and see if we can get them on board too.
- Putting flyers in the Metro and any newspapers lying around on public transport.
- Stop suggesting that we tell the student unions, they are too busy pansying about unimportant war shit.
- Suddenly business cards. Thousands of them. We need cards everywhere; free papers, colleges, universities, seats of trains and busses, in restaurant menus, inbetween products in shops, everywhere you can think of. March15.org and youfoundthecard.com are most useful.
- DO NOT just leave it to everyone else - knowledge is their worst enemy and complacency is our greatest weakness. If you can help, do help.
[edit] What to do in the (unlikely) event of trouble
[edit] Basic ideas
- Its unlikely, but there exists the possibility that either a random newfag or a scilon agent will try and disrupt the protest, with violence and or other unacceptable behavior. This runs the risk of the whole protest being dispersed by the police, which is obviously lame. We need potential ideas what to do if it all suddenly starts going tits up.
[edit] Sit down, chill out
- One idea being thrown around in the chans, is that should something bad happen - all anonymous will sitdown cross-legged with arms by their sides. If someone does start throwing bottles / bricks / whatever, having everyone suddenly sit down should indicate to the police who the troublemakers are, and show the rest of us as being peaceful and co-operative. So if it all starts going tits up - sit down, and chill out.
[edit] Police Goto's
- The manchester met. have already been informed about the protest, so everything should be sorted there. However it will probably make the street officers a lot easier if a couple of us go up to them, and act as go-betweens for the protesters and the police. That way, if the police are uneasy about something, they can tell the go-betweens, who can direct the rest of the protestors on what to do. A typical scenario might be blocking up the pavement too much, or people spilling out into the road.
[edit] Scientology harrassment
- If there are scilons out on the street giving you a hard time, or getting aggressive with you, the codeword for calling backup is "Dont tase me bro!". Many members already know what someone shouting this phrase means, and new members should remember it as well. This will alert nearby anons to come and back you up, so your not on your own.
[edit] NEVER give out real life details!
- No real anon will be asking your name / where you live / what course or job you do. So NEVER give out these details to anyone, and leave all forms of identification at home. This may sound like ultra-paranoia, but people -have- actually lost their jobs as a result of the Feb. 10th protest, due to scientology calling their bosses and saying they have been instigating hate crimes. If you stay anonymous, you will be fine.
[edit] General Code of Conduct for the 15th (and future protests)
- Whilst the 10th was epic win, there are areas we can improve on for the 15th, to make the win even greater. Below are some important points that all newfags should read and understand before coming.
[edit] Scientologists are the victims, not the enemies
- The best way to stop Scientology is to get its current members to question the way the Church is run. So we need to use arguments that the LOW level scientologists (OT 3 and less, which is virtually everyone) can relate to. That means no Xenu, no attacking of their faith, no bashing L ron hubbard.
[edit] Disconnection
- This is something a lot of low levels, or people not far across the bridge may have more knowledge about. If auditing, its possible they have been asked questions about who could be considered an SP (supressive person) in their live, and urged to disconnect from them. By talking about this, and how extreme disconnection can be - may start to get through to some scilons.
- Lots of links to http://www.exscientologykids.com/ on flyers is good, the emergence of this site is a real blow to the CoS.
[edit] Scientology : Salvation, for a price.
- Religion is free, Scientology isnt. Whilst scientology isnt technically a religion in the UK as of now, it is in the U.S. Having to pay exorbitant amounts of money (or having to work near full time) just to be a part of the group is unacceptable. Also if anyone can confirm this with dox, im pretty sure staff members get paid virtually nothing for their time working at orgs. Another good point to bring up "How much do you get paid?".
[edit] Fair Game
- Still incredibly relevant. Anon's have been harassed and stalked as a result of the 10th. Keep yourself anonymous, but also talk about it to any scientos you meet - calmy but firmly explain with cited examples (research on enturbulation forums).
- Mention Snow White and Freakout, but dont try to use them as specific examples on the 15th (they are better kept for telling the public, who know nothing about scientology). Most scilons believe these were the acts of rogue scilon agents, and dont represent scientology as a whole. Bring up points like LRH's wife being arrested and serving time for Snow White, what kind of religious leader would start a policy like Fair Game in the first place?
- Why, when we clearly state over and over that we do not seek to harass and criticise their beliefs, do they insist on labelling us "terrorists" and "religious bigots"? If we come across calm and composed on the 15th, it will make those titles seem someone batshit insane, making whoever said them batshit insane. Win for us.
[edit] Long time Critics
- Most scilons will hear the names Tory Christman (Magoo), and Mark Bunker (WBM) and either think: "Who?" or "Well, they just had a bad experience of scientology. The rest of it isnt like that." We need to point out the existence of dozens of ex scientologists who have become critics, from dozens of different areas. Its not just an isolated thing.
